Customer Review: A seemingly simple mission - a 4 minute timer

I will admit it - this is an indulgence but more of a "padding item" to bring my order total above the Free Shipping limit. My first use goes fine - hit the "R/S" button and the 4 minute timer starts, counting down and alarming quite loudly when completed. First batch of french press turns out great. Mission accomplished!
The next day, hit I the "R/S" button and the $11, 4 minute timer says "7:00" and starts counting down from there. Stunned, I press "START" and see the timer change to "9:00" and begin counting down. No, I am not making this up! I press both buttons at the same time, and it sets back to "7:00".
The mission profile seems simple to do but clearly there are issues.
